Early Intervention
Did you know that children who participate in early intervention, prior to six months old, can have age appropriate skills by preschool? But it is never too late to start!
To help you walk through the Early Intervention system, it's important to have someone who is knowledgeable with deaf and hard of hearing (d/hh) practices. Colorado has a unique, and qualified team, to help you with that.
How to get enrolled in Early Intervention in Colorado
When you child is diagnosed with a hearing difference, your audiologist may have talked to you about being connected with the Colorado Home Inclusion Program (CHIP), and one of their Coordinators. This person is a wonderful addition to your family, and a knowledgeable asset to understand your child's unique needs. If your have not yet been connected with a CHIP Coordinator, you can either click the link above or talk with a Guide By Your Side, and we can help make that connection. Your CHIP Coordinator is an important part of your EI team.
